Riders will board THE RIDE, a super-sized, technologically amped up vehicle that travels the streets of New York. With stadium-style, sideways seating and massive windows, Riders have front row seats to the big city.
You never know what you’ll see or who you’ll meet along the 4.2-mile route. No matter how many times you take THE RIDE, it’s never the same show twice.

FROM MAJOR AIRPORTS >>From JFK: Take the Van Wyck Expressway to Grand Central Parkway, to L.I.E. (Midtown tunnel). Go straight up 42nd St. to 8th Ave. Turn right on 8th Ave, and right again on 46th St. The Marriott Marquis, home of THE RIDE NY will be on your right.
From Newark: Take NJ Turnpike (North) to Lincoln Tunnel. Follow signs to 42nd St (N). Take a left on 8th Ave, and a right on 46th St. The Marriott Marquis, home of THE RIDE NY will be on your right.
From La Guardia: Take the Grand Central Parkway towards Manhattan/Triborough Bridge. Pay the toll, and stay on the left. Follow signs to the F.D.R. Drive (South). Exit onto 42nd St/United Nations. Follow 42nd St until 8th Ave, and make a right on 8th Ave. Get in right lane, and turn onto 46th St. The Marriott Marquis, home of THE RIDE NY will be on your right.
- Head East on George Washington Bridge/Interstate 95 Lower Level (N)
- Take exit 2 on the left, merge onto Harlem River Drive towards FDR Drive/Manhattan
- Take exit 19 for 2nd Ave, towards E 125 St

- Turn right at E 96th St
- Turn left at 5th Ave

Does THE RIDE happen in bad weather?
Yes, THE RIDE takes place in all kinds of weather except for the occasional blizzard or hurricane. If either of those freak weather occurrences do happen, THE RIDE will be in touch by phone or email.

Is THE RIDE bus using bio-diesel?
THE RIDE uses a diesel particulate filter (try saying that 10 times fast) making it the cleanest large vehicle on the road today.

Is THE RIDE bad on the environment?
THE RIDE realizes the impact that we have on the environment and uses best practices to keep that impact as small as we can.

How long will THE RIDE take around the city?
THE RIDE is designed to take about 75 minutes.

I know New York City traffic is bad. What happens if the bus gets stuck in traffic?
If you get stuck in traffic consider it free entertainment. Our performers are handpicked from the worlds of stand-up and improv comedy and can turn even the most unexpected situations—traffic, weather, police motorcades—into hilarious moments. -
Can I hop on and off like other bus tours?
THE RIDE isn’t a bus tour through New York, it’s an entertainment experience. So, hopping on or off THE RIDE would mean you’d miss a huge part of the experience. Not to mention you’d probably really hurt yourself hopping on or off the tallest vehicle allowed on the streets of New York by federal law.

Where does THE RIDE start and where does it end?
THE RIDE starts and ends at the Marriott Marquis Hotel located in the heart of Times Square, at 1535 Broadway. You can’t miss it.

Are there seatbelts on the bus?
Just like a regular tour, city or private charter bus, there are no seat belts on THE RIDE. And you’ve heard about NYC traffic, right? We don’t go fast enough to warrant seat belts. -
Is there a bathroom on the bus?
There are no bathrooms on the bus! Take care of business before you board at the Marriott Marquis restrooms on the 2nd floor. -
What if I’m prone to motion sickness?
Like we said earlier, you’ve heard about NYC traffic, right? We don’t go fast enough to induce motion sickness. -
What sites around NYC will we see while on THE RIDE?
THE RIDE audiences see Times Square, the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, NYC Main Branch of the Public Library, Empire State Building, 42nd street, Shubert Alley/Broadway theaters, 6th Avenue Skyscrapers, Carnegie Hall, Columbus Circle and Central Park. All in about 75 minutes. -
Is THE RIDE kid-friendly? What ages are appropriate?
THE RIDE likes kids ages 6 and up, however, please be advised that certain content may not be appropriate for children. You never know what might happen on the streets of New York! -
Do you consider THE RIDE to be educational? What will my children learn about on THE RIDE?
THE RIDE is educational and turns the history of New York City and its landmarks into fun facts and tidbits that kids will love. -

What are the box office hours?
We apologize in advance to all you early birds and night owls—THE RIDE Box Office is only open from 10am – 8pm daily. Slackers. You can get your hands on tickets anytime online or by phone at 1.866.299.9682. -
How do I pick up my tickets?
We recommend picking up tickets with your hands. Tickets can be found at THE RIDE Box Office located at the Marriott Marquis during the hours above. -
Can I get tickets online? In advance? The day of?
Yes, yes and yes. Tickets can be purchased online, in advance and the day of from the Box Office.

Is THE RIDE accessible to handicapped and individuals with disabilities?
Not yet but we’re working on it! THE RIDE is currently building a vehicle that will be handicapped accessible and expects to include it in THE RIDE NYC fleet by Spring 2011.

All Riders should check in at THE RIDE Box Office, located outdoors on the ground level of the Marriott Marquis, between 45th and 46th Streets, near the taxi stands and adjacent to the Broadway Baby Store. Box office can be accessed from either the hotel or Times Square by using the North Breezeway of the Marriot Marquis Hotel Entryway. Boarding will take place on the South West corner of 46th Street and Broadway, across the street from the American Eagle Store.
